Mary Ann Bramlet

	Mary Ann Bramlet, 78, of DuQuoin, passed away at 9:05 p.m. Monday, August 6, 2001 at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.
	Mrs. Bramlet had been an English professor at John A. Logan College.  She was a member of First Methodist Church of DuQuoin and had lived in DuQuoin since 1979.
	She was born November 10, 1922 at Harrisburg, the daughter of Wash and Gertrude (McGill) Clark.  She married Major Herb Bramlet I.S.P. on August 16, 1943 in North Carolina.  He preceded her in death on March 12, 1982.
	Surviving are two sons, Eugene C. (Pat) Bramlet of Carbondale and Mike Bramlet of Springfield; two sisters, Pat Beasley and Sue Parks, both of Eldorado; brother, Charles Clark of Shreveport, La.; grandchildren, Beth (Scott) Robertson of Carterville and Brad Bramlet of Carbondale and one great-grandson, Aaron Robertson of Carterville.
	She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and three sisters.
	Funeral services were Thursday, August 9 at 11 a.m. at Maxton Funeral Chapel with Rev. Carl S. Mesiti officiating.  Interment was in Sunset Memorial Park.
	 Friends called after 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Maxton Funeral Home in DuQuoin.
	 Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or First Methodist Church.
